The Marte coat also works well as a short jacket. The jacket in the photo also has a split-pocket (instructions from a previous blogpost).

 

 

1. Measure your preferred finished length of the jacket down from the center of your shoulder.

2. Mark the length on the pattern, down from the center of the shoulder (A) and measure the length from the mark and down to the fold line at the bottom, to find out how much you need to take off from the length (B).

 

3. Start at the lengthen/shorten line on the pattern and draw in the amount you want to remove with a parallel line above the lengthen/shorten line. The grey area illustrated is the part that will be removed from the pattern. Cut along one of the lines. Remove the same amount from the back piece.

 

 4. Place the two lines on top of each other, to remove the extra amount from the pattern. Align at center front/center back. The sides will now be slightly uneven. Draw new side lines from the fold line up to the armhole at front and back.

Mønsterendring: Marte jakke

 

 

Marte-kåpa er også kjempefin som en kort jakke. Eksempelet på bildet har også fått en splitt-lomme (se forklaring i eget innlegg).

 

 

 

 

1. Mål ønsket ferdig lengde på jakken ned fra skulderen.

2. Merk av lengden på jakken ned fra midten på skulderen på mønsteret (A). Mål lengden fra merket og ned til brettelinjen nede (B), for å finne ut hvor mye du skal fjerne fra lengden.

 

3. Start ved forlenge/forkorte-linjen på mønsteret og tegn inn mengden du skal fjerne som en parallel linje ovenfor forlenge/forkorte-linjen. Det grå området på illustrasjonen viser det som skal fjernes fra mønsteret. Klipp langs den ene linjen. Fjern samme mengde fra bakstykket på mønsteret.

 

 4. Legg de to linjene oppå hverandre for å "lukke igjen" og fjerne den ekstra lengden fra mønsteret. Legg bitene kant-i-kant midt foran/midt bak. Sidene vil nå være ujevne. Tegn nye sidelinjer fra brettelinjen nede til nederst på ermehullet.
