A simple and practical dress or sweater, which suits most children. Choose between sewing it in jersey or woven fabric, with patch pockets or pockets in the side seams. The version in woven fabric has a neck facing with split and closure at the neck. The jersey version is a simpler version without lining and splits. The project is perfect for a beginner who wants to practice different techniques in jersey and woven fabric.

In order for the instructions to be easy for a beginner to follow, all steps are thoroughly explained with text and illustrations.

The pattern is available as a PDF in Norwegian and English or as a paper pattern in Norwegian. All sizes are included when you buy a pattern.

Level: Beginner+

Sizes: 80-152 (measurement chart)

This is included when you buy the PDF pattern:

• Illustrated instructions with text in Norwegian and English
• Pattern in A4 format that can be printed on a normal printer and taped together. Select 100% as format before printing in A4
• Pattern in A0 format that can be printed at a copy shop

Number of A4 pages to print: 14 (pattern only) or 23/28 pages (pattern+instructions)

You need:

• Sewing thread
• 0.6 -1.5 m of fabric with a width of 140 cm*
• Button/loop and hook (for version in woven fabric)

* Dress: size 80-86: 0.9 m. 92-98: 1 m. 104-110: 1.1 m. 116-122: 1.2 m.
128-134: 1.3 m. 140-146: 1.4 m. 152: 1.5 m.

Sweater (without pockets and lining): Size 80-116: 0.5 m. 122-152: 0.6 m.

Fabric choice:

A thin to medium thickness fabric in viscose/tencel, cotton or linen is recommended. You can use both woven fabrics and jersey, but remember to use an elastic seam if you are going to sew in an elastic fabric.

Fabric choice for the garments pictured:

• Gray and yellow dress with sewn-on pockets in cotton ribbing.
• Blue and cream-colored dress in woven viscose with a slit at the neck.
• Dotted sweater viscose jersey.
