Ivo is a nice and comfortable pair of trousers with an elasticated waist. It has fun pockets on the sides and is easy to sew. The pattern has 6 cm of slack added to the hip measurement in sizes 32-46 and 8 cm of slack in sizes 48-64. This pattern is also available for children.

So that the recipe should be easy to follow for a beginner, all steps are thoroughly explained with text and illustrations.

The pattern is available as a PDF in Norwegian and English or as a paper pattern in Norwegian. All sizes are included when you buy a pattern.

0.6-1.2 m knit with 1.5 cm width
20 cm adhesive material (non-woven fabric)
1.5 m - 2.5 m fabric* (140 cm wide)

*size 32-36: 1.4 m, size 38-40: 1.7 m, size 42-46: 2 m, size 52-64: 4 m.

Choice of fabric

A thin to medium-weight woven fabric in cotton, linen or wool is recommended. Be sure to choose a soft fabric. The elastic waistband will look bulky if the fabric is too stiff or thick. Fabrics such as thin twill, tweed, thin denim or soft corduroy will work well.

Fabric choice for the garments pictured:

Checkered Ivo trousers are sewn in thin wool from Lillestrøm sewing centre, used together with Maggi jumper and t-shirt. Yellow, floral Ivo in medium thick cotton satin.
