Sunni is your best friend in the sun. The wide brim provides good shade for the face on sunny days. You can choose between an open version with a tie at the back, or maybe you want one that covers your head completely. For a beginner, it is best to choose the one that is open with knotting.

Fabric choice:
Firm, medium-thick woven fabrics are recommended, such as canvas, canvas, twill or denim. This pattern is great for using up leftovers from other projects.
Fabric choices for the hats pictured:
The blue, all-over version is sewn in light linen on one side and quilted cotton with a print on the other side. The orange patterned screen is sewn in printed cotton canvas.
